DIRECTOR'S NOTE
A good camp doesn't just happen. It is the result of careful planning and a great deal of effort by a director who is sincerely interested in your child's character and personality development as well as their physical welfare during camp. At Soul Food 2k9 Summer Camp, good counselors with integrity, fun personality, and a strong sense of personal relationship with Christ are selected for your child’s benefit. They play a most important part in making our camp an exceptional one.
Good attitude and sportsmanship helps your child fit into our life at Soul Food 2K9. Your camper’s entire life will be influenced eternally by the place campers make for themselves here.
Good camping is neither cheap nor expensive, but you can make it worth many times what it cost by taking advantage of the many opportunities available.
We provide the right environment, the best leadership, the inspiration, fun, and, most importantly, a superior reason for camping with us. However, what your child takes away will depend on attitude toward the camp, the counselors, and the other campers. Lifelong friendships are formed at camp. Memories that will live always will be priceless possessions. We want your child to have fun at camp, but we also want them to acquire many new skills, get along with everybody, and learn how to be effective and consistent in witnessing for Jesus Christ. When you come to Soul Food come prepared to be FRIENDLY to all; come prepared to be CHEERFUL; come prepared to be UNSELFISH.

History
Soul Food 2K9 was founded by Paulette Rolle-Alesnik and a team of experienced children workers and campers in the fall of 2004. Staff and volunteer training began in the spring of 2005. It is quickly becoming recognized for its $1,000.00 investment into the life of a child through the “Fresh Thinker Scholarship” which focuses on soul-winning coupled with training a child in a professional performing environment.
Our Vision: To teach children and youth to evangelize and share their testimony consistently.
Our Mission: It is the mission of Soul Food 2K9 summer camp to provide a safe, FUN-FILLED, high energy camp that combines the empowering messages of sharing your faith AND your testimony with the performing arts. SOUL FOOD 2K9 is all about teaching this generation simple, practical steps that are SIMPLE, FUN, EASY, and thought provoking!
