Attention Dancers, Actors & Actresses:

Off Stage Dance & Theatre Company is the exciting production company established for the sole purpose of making the gospel visual through the medium of theatrical production and musicals.

We are currently auditioning new members. Off Stage seeks serious-minded artists who desires excellence in performing arts; has a passion for Christ and the things of Christ – i.e.: souls, His word, prayer, loving and caring for God’s people. We are looking for trained, Christian dancers 16 years or older to join our growing family and travel w/ Paulette Rolle-Alesnik and the Dare To Dance Staff. All members MUST own a car or have some means of transportation to and from classes and rehearsals.

Off Stage Dance & Theatre Company is seeking strong technical dancers with a background in ballet or modern, lyrical or jazz techniques or dancers with strong hip-hop techniques. All members will continue training professionally in the following areas: Ballet, Modern, Hip-hop, and Theatre & Arco-tumbling.

Upcoming Auditions 2009:

April 6th, 7pm – Dance Studio at Argos Fitness Center, USF

July 6th 7pm - Dance Studio at Argos Fitness Center, USF

October 5th - Dance Studio at Argos Fitness Center, USF

All training is done in Tampa, Florida. Members MUST be willing to relocate to the Tampa Bay area if needed in order to attend ALL training classes on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Our auditions are held as follows:

• Dance class format: warm-up, across the floor work, and a combination.
• Theatre class format: warm-up, creative dramatization and cold reading.
• Scripture Memorization.

Please come prepared with the following:
A 1-2minute piece in your strongest style of dance.
3-6 scriptures memorized.
1 Professional headshot or dance photo.
Resume of your dance background.

Dancers please dress appropriately for a professional dance company audition.

Post Auditions:

Following your initial audition you will be contacted and interviewed by Paulette Rolle-Alesnik or a Dare To Dance, Inc spiritual advisor. The purpose of the interview is to evaluate and discern the spiritual aspect. This interview is critical for entrance into the company. Once a decision is made you will be offered an application for entrance into the company. And the rest they say is… "Hard work…up hill!"

Details regarding company classes, rehearsals, performances, etc. will be discussed upon your acceptance into the company.

Off Stage Dance & Theatre Company is a professional theatrical company. It represents the production aspect of Dare To Dance, Inc. We are a Christian company and we are serious about the call of God on our lives. We believe that Jesus is The Christ as the Messiah. We have surrendered our lives to His Lordship and Savior. We provide our members with a professional environment and an alternative to training in secular theatres and studios; thus keeping their focus on Christ first and foremost and the arts secondary. Our FOCUS is Christ!!!

Schedule & Location

OSD&T Company meets for preparation classes:

Mondays from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM (USF)
Tuesdays from 5:00 PM - 9:30 PM (USF)
Thursday from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM (Taproot Community Culture Center)

Mondays & Tuesdays, we currently train at the dance studio at Argos Fitness Center, University of South Florida (USF), Tampa, FL . On Thursdays, we train in ArcoDramance at Taproot Cultural Center, 1483 Nebraska Ave, Tampa, FL 33602.

Off Stage Dance & Theatre Company training schedule is divided into 4 semesters. Students are required to make a two year commitment. Our 4th semester commences with an annual performance concert /fundraiser and banquet. We will boast of the goodness of G-d and what He's done in our lives, honor our students & parents for their faithfulness, dedication & hard work.
